Summertime! Now is the best most abundant time for wonderful fresh fruits and vegetables. Filling your plate at least half full of fruits and veggies is the goal. Go for a rainbow of colors – eggplant, beets, carrots, blueberries, mangoes, papayas, tomatoes, sweet potatoes etc. There are so many different recipes- blender drinks, cold summer soups, stir fry with fresh pineapple mixed with protein, grilled peaches or onions peppers and zucchinis. Let your creativity be your guide. Instead of ice cream for dessert try a pie shell filled with a mixture of shredded coconut, mango and yogurt then decorate with Kiwi. All delicious. Every meal of the day can benefit from fresh fruits and vegetables.  These are healthful tips.
