Practice a Peaceful Mind

A new day, a new week, early in the month, a new year. All these speak to the hope and positivity of the future. We are not stuck. There is beauty all around us. Take a walk and look up at the sky. Amazing colors and cloud formations are there to delight us. Eat a piece of fruit and enjoy the exquisite juicy sweet natural flavor. Have a warm bubble bath and give yourself permission to relax. Make meditation a daily part of your life. Start with just sitting quietly for five minutes. Phone and all devices off. Breathe deeply. Find a word like peace, love, sohum anything that resonates with you and keep quietly repeating it yourself for the five minutes. If your mind drifts gently bring it back to your word. When the time is up gently  open your eyes and breathe deeply. As you get better at quieting the mind you will want to build the time up to at least 20. Using a guide can be helpful. There are many sites available for that.Quieting the mind is part of good mental health. Do you need help?
