Lyn Fox is a Licensed Professional Counselor with 20 plus years of therapeutic experience. She graduated with her Master’s degree in Community Counseling from Fairfield University and holds a BS in Elementary Education from Green Mountain College. Lyn has worked in a variety of therapeutic setting including, school-based programs, in home therapy, residential treatment, and outpatient therapy. She has an extensive background working with individuals who present with a variety of mental health concerns such as: anxiety, depression, PTSD, ADHD, mood instability, trauma, life transitions, LGBTQIA+, relationships/divorce, and co-parenting/blended families. Lyn enjoys working with individuals of all ages, particularly young adults, helping them to navigate through life’s challenges and transitions. Lyn’s mission is to help individuals and families restore balance and achieve a higher level of satisfaction in their lives.

Her supportive counseling approach includes building a therapeutic relationship to determine if client and therapist are a good fit, providing psycho education, developing coping skills, focusing on strengths in a collaborative manner to establishing personalized goals for wellness. Lyn utilizes a client centered approach, solution focused therapy, and incorporates mindfulness cognitive behavioral practices and DBT principles to assist and support her clients develop a positive mindset.

Lyn recognizes that therapy can sometimes feel scary, overwhelming and/or uncomfortable, but she creates a therapeutic environment in which her clients feel safe to explore the issues that are preventing them from being at their best and having the happiness and satisfaction they want in their lives. She is able to develop strong therapeutic relationship with her clients and sees therapy as a collaborative journey, in which clients feel empowered to make changes in their life and shift their mindset from impossible to possible.
